A *CNA gives from the heart

[I reach out to my residents for the sake of human kindness, it's not just a job, it's my "Calling."]

I give from my heart with love from God
The greatest gift of all!
I reach out to my residents
for the sake of human kindness,
it's not just a job, it's my "Calling."
I long to bring a smile upon the face
of a resident who is sad.
Or offer a hug to them who are lonely.

For when I see a tender smile
Or give a gentle warm embrace.
I know the sparkle in their eyes
Reflects the joy upon their face.
Reaching out and caring,
I listen to their fears.
I ache when their in pain
I cry their hidden tears.
We give to one another,
The gift of Love we share.
I take a moment to give thanks
To Lord our God in prayer.

Lord, Thank You for everything
That I have come to know.
For all the trials I endured
You taught me how to grow.
Thank You for life's blessings,
You showed me how to love.
Thank You Lord, for filling me
with Compassion from above.

*"CNA" (Certified Nursing Assistant) is sometimes used interchangeably with "PCA" (Patient Care Assistant) or "Nurses' Aide." CNA's have had special training to become certified. In England, unlicensed nursing assistants are called "auxiliary nurses."
